Background: Capraia is part of the portfolio of the the Calì Estates, a company which was born in the 80s thanks to the passion for the land and the good wine of the Calì Family. Since then this family has been constantly involved in the conservation and emprovement of the territory and the wines.
The line of wines represents a selection of fine grapes coming from the historical territory of Castellina in Chianti.
This is a selection that has been separated since ever from the other wines both in the vinification and in the ageing. This project stems from the desire to enhance the huge diversity that can be seen in the different places where the Classic Historic Chianti is produced and that at the beginning was represented only by Gaiole, Radda and Castellina. When tasting the Capraia Selection you can tell the distinctive characteristics that distinguish the Gaiole wines from the Castellina ones.
The strategy: The range wants to represent the quality and the most classic uniqueness of the Chianti. Tradition, history, territory, quality, experience and Tuscan character are the values that are to be expressed for these wines which represent the deep spirit of the Chianti.
The project: The study carried out is in fact a restyling. The required objective is to bring up to date the range, but keeping firm its origins. In this sense the aim was to keep the background, but removing the oval-shaped borders. The classical design, released from the geometric structure, has been able to express its true nature linked to the Tuscan countryside. The remainder of the layout is an evident reference to the best tradition and history, but treated with more contemporary spaces and silences.
Special attention has been paid to the kind of paper used, because the material becomes an important element of communication when the layout is simple, especially for important high quality wines.
